What was known as Livermore Ranch Kennels has been providing loving care to area pet parents as early as 1947. In 2008, the Gamache family recognized the Ranch’s untapped potential—three sprawling acres in the heart of wine country, where Bay Area commuters frequently passed by. It was the perfect place to create the pet resort of their dreams! To reflect their upgrades and improved approach, the Gamache family renamed the facility to The Ranch Pet Resort & Spa.

Today, the Ranch is still family-owned and operated, and more dedicated than ever to continuing to provide quality pet care. Through their passion for pets and innovative thinking, the Gamache family has transformed The Ranch into a full-service pet resort where quality care is priority number one.
Michael Gamache, the General Manager and longtime pet parent, leads the day to day operations of The Ranch and guides his staff of dedicated caregivers and quality groomers in providing unmatched quality. Michael takes pride in the family business, assuring it’s run with immense care. His connection with animals is a true gift and he is passionate about what he does.
Michael’s brother Daniel Gamache lives on the property where the Ranch is located. There are members of staff working seven days a week, 365 days a year – after hours your dog or cat is still in good hands, so you can rest assured our pet-loving team will provide your pet with a happy healthy environment. Michael, Daniel, the entire Gamache family, and our dedicated staff will always go the extra mile for your family pets.
